The HR partner your team actually needs.

Most growing companies don't need a full HR department. They need one seasoned expert who knows exactly what to do, shows up like a true team member, and gets it done right, every time.

That's what Collective HR was built to be.

Meet Courtney Haigh, FPC
Founder & Lead HR Consultant

I didn't set out to start a consulting firm. I set out to do great HR work, the kind that actually changes how people feel about coming to work.

I started my career in payroll in 2005, moved into HR leadership in 2010, and spent years in Director-level roles overseeing HR and payroll for complex, multi-site organizations. Over two decades I've guided companies through their first hires and their most difficult layoffs. I've built compensation frameworks, navigated investigations, managed benefits overhauls, and helped leaders have the hard conversations they'd been avoiding.

What I kept seeing, across every industry, every size company, was the same pattern. Smart, driven leaders building something real, with a people function that couldn't keep up. Not because they didn't care. Because they were busy building, and HR had always been "the next thing to figure out."

I founded Collective HR in 2023 to close that gap. To be the partner I kept wishing these companies had, embedded, experienced, and genuinely invested in their success.

I hold my FPC certification through the American Payroll Association and bring expertise across the full employee lifecycle. But what I'm most proud of is simpler than that: my clients trust me. They call me when things go sideways. They loop me in before they make big people decisions. They treat me like a member of their team, because that's exactly how I show up.

Why fractional HR just makes sense

A full-time Director costs $150,000–$250,000 per year. For most growing companies, that's not where the budget is, and honestly, it's not what you need yet.

What you need is someone with that level of experience, available when you need them, without the full-time overhead.

That's exactly what fractional HR is. And it's what Collective HR was built to deliver.

You get senior-level thinking, hands-on execution, and genuine partnership, at a fraction of the cost. No onboarding curve. No benefits package. No waiting for headcount approval. Just expertise, embedded in your team, from day one.
